At the show in Stuttgart I had a nice conversation with the German agent and Italian designer of the new ATS GT supercar. A car that will be produced in a limited quantity of only 12 cars. Each car is handmade and will be customized to the owner's wishes.
The original ATS (Automobili Turismo e Sport) was founded some 55 years ago, when Carlo Chiti and Giotto Bizzarrini from Ferrari split from that company and tried to make supercars themselves. For two years they produced cars for the road and Formula 1. Their only road car, the 2500 GTS, was no success, but it was the 2nd mid-engined sports car in history.
In 2012, the brand was revived and they have made a comeback to the car market with the GT. The car, although new and no classic car, was one of the headturners at the Stuttgart Messe at the end of March. People flocked around the car and lots of pictures were taken of it.
Some technical data that could be found at the stand of the car in Stuttgart:

And before I forget. No official price was mentioned, but according to other websites that reviewed the car, it might well be in excess of 1 million euro. But remember only 12 of these GT's will be built.
